A warning light tells you where to start looking, not what’s wrong. Anyone with a £50 code reader can tell you there’s a misfire. The real job is finding out why. A coil, an injector, a vacuum leak, a sensor, and each one is a very different bill. Our equipment gives us manufacturer-level access to almost every major brand, the same systems the main dealers use, backed up with proper testing. You pay to fix the actual fault, once.
RAC Approved Garage · 5★ rated on Google · The workshop behind every car we sell. Live within 10 minutes of us? Ask about free local drop-off and collection.
Diagnostics start at £110 including VAT, which covers the skilled work of finding the fault. We don’t charge you twice for it. If the cure turns out to be a ten-minute job and a £10 part, we’re not adding another labour bill on top, and plenty of small faults get sorted within the diagnostic itself. You get a plain explanation of the fault, the fix and the cost before anything else is done.
A steady amber engine light usually means get it checked soon. Drive gently and book in. A flashing engine light, or a red oil or temperature warning, means stop, because carrying on can wreck the catalytic converter or the engine. If you’re not sure, ring us on 0114 698 1430 and describe it. We’ll tell you straight whether to drive it in or not.
