GT Automotive Group is a used car dealer and RAC Approved workshop at Unit 3, 1 Orgreave Way, Sheffield S13 9LS. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. What we collect and why

When you fill in a form on this site we receive the details you type in. Depending on the form, that can include your name, phone number, email address, your vehicle registration, mileage and details of a car you want to buy, sell or part exchange, and anything you write in a message box. We use these details to answer your enquiry: to give you a valuation, book your car in, tell you what we found about your MOT or cambelt, or help you find a car. We will only contact you about your enquiry unless you ask us to keep you updated.

Our free MOT and cambelt checkers use the registration you enter to look up your vehicle with the DVSA, the government agency that holds MOT records. The lookup sends your registration to the DVSA; your name and phone number are not sent to them, they come to us so we can follow up about the result.

Where your information goes

Form submissions are delivered to our sales inbox by email and held in our email system. We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone else for marketing. If you apply for finance we share the details you provide with our finance partners so they can process your application, and if you buy or sell a car with us we keep the paperwork we are legally required to keep as a motor trader.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record, then they are deleted. Records connected to a sale, warranty or finance agreement are kept for the periods the law and our agreements require.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email sales@gtautomotivegroup.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
