How we started
GT Automotive was founded in 2020 by Sam and Matthew, who between them bring more than 30 years in the motor trade. Both came up through the main-dealer world within the Volkswagen Group, Sam at Volkswagen and Matthew at Skoda, which is where the two of them first met.
They started GT to do things their own way: a small, independent team, now five strong, rather than a faceless car supermarket. Those main-dealer roots still shape how we work, but since launching we’ve grown well beyond any single marque, building genuine multi-brand knowledge across everything we buy and sell.
How we choose our cars
That experience shows in how we source cars. Every one is chosen individually, checked thoroughly, and prepared properly before it reaches our forecourt. We’d rather sell fewer cars and know exactly what each one is than fill the place with stock we can’t stand behind.
What we stand for
What we care about is straightforward: do the job properly, be honest about the car in front of you, and look after people whether they’re buying, selling, or just need a hand, from first contact through to aftersales.
